Alborg university is a Danish public university with three campuses located in Aalborg, Copenhagen and Esbjerg. As one of the leading departments, AAU Energy, as the name implies, is fully dedicated to research, innovation and education within the broad field of energy. The main focus of the university is on solutions pushing the energy systems towards further sustainability and clean production. For this, the researchers of the university work hard to pioneer low and high TRL solutions and technologies to pave the pathway for the green transition, leading to several patents and innovations, especially for energy systems in different sectors. That is why AAU Energy is its leading department among all its sections. The department has a certain emphasis on applied projects to keep the impact as high as possible. This project, with a strong focus on bringing sustainability to the electricity and heat sectors with a strong partnership with several larger and smaller industrial partners is in compatibility with the strategy of the university and plans of action.
