Progress update meeting

In may 2024, project participants attended the progress update meeting at Danish Technological Institute, Aarhus, Denmark.

Aside from administrative issues related to project management, the meeting included an insightful tour of the Industrial Refrigeration and Heat Pump Laboratory at Danish Technological Institute where the partners had the opportunity to see the Interheat heat pump at first hand.

The visit was highly insightful, and the participants had a chance to see firsthand the heat pump for integration at process level in a protein dryer. The heat pump arrived at Danish Technological Institute earlier in the spring, and since then, the project partners have been busy installing and optimizing it, preparing it for the first test run. 

The agenda included engaging presentations and discussions which centered on the business case and practical application of heat pumps under various scenarios and levels of integration. The agenda also addressed technical alternatives to heat pumps and alternative compressor solutions.
